the scene outside the Holy Trinity Social Club This was the scene outside the Holy Trinity Social Club at the start of the day.  It was wet and windy - but you can just see that there was a rainbow in the sky!  And, although the blustery wind kept up, it was dry and the sun did appear during most of the day. Trevor Genge was at the door and Bill Pope There was the usual dashing about by committee members and others to get the room set up but in good time everything was ready and Trevor Genge was at the door and Bill Pope was ready for his usual signing in marathon.
Henry Metzger settled down to show videos, play music and generally perform his usual and useful role. Henry Settled Down  The bar, of course, was open and Jill, the Social Club's energetic all purpose caretaker only found a few moments respite from attending to the bar.  Some people thought they saw Father Geoff testing his club's stock - purely in the line of duty. The bar, of course, was open
Splendid Holy Trinity"  Holy Trinity Social Club was already splendidly decorated in a blue and silver theme.  Under Megan Fitzgerald-Plummer's  eagle-eyed supervision, we added blue and white table cloths and floral centre pieces made by Alma Darby - one of which is shown at the top of the page. Isobel and Alan Bickley  As you can see a large number of members turned up - rather more than we had expected.  But everyone crammed in somehow.  Bill Pope counted them all in and I think his final number was over 90.  This was a great turnout.

We were pleased to see them all and, especially perhaps, Isobel Bickley, our Chairman's wife, who we were delighted to see out and about again.

We were equally pleased to see our Honorary Secretary's sister, Kathleen, back with us.  2 ladies Of all the others present we can record here only a random selection, according to when Reg had a moment to take photographs.  Here is Spencer Wilcox, with Arthur and Margaret Weston.
