Sandra Aston issued Christmas crackers Sandra Aston issued Christmas crackers, running around at high speed to demonstrate the success of her hip operation.  It was good to see her back in such lithe action. To the far right here is Arthur Weston and the blonde lady in the centre is Olga Hammond.  Our Chairman, Alan Bickley (just visible in front of the screen) welcomed everyone ... ... before starting to show a number of  his short films.  This one showed the Morris dancers at St. Leonard's church - which made a visual and musical accompaniment to the buffet. At the far left are Mr and Mrs Roy France; the second lady from the left is Mrs. Hammond; and on the far right are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Weston. a visual and musical accompaniment to the buffet. After that Alma conducted a quiz on Bilston history, which Megan had prepared.  We will not record the scores here but merely express the hope that next year the questions are easier.  But the winners did respectably well and duly got a prize - as did second and third. And somewhere at about this time our Vice-President, John Elwall, turned comedian and regaled the company with jokes and stories.  But your reporter seems not to have a photograph of this event.  Sorry!
