Alan Hadley Several members brought along interesting items connected with tea.  Alan Hadley owns this very fine tortoiseshell tea caddy, probably of Georgian or early Victorian date.  a Hobson's Antitannic Infuser. Another member brought along a Hobson's Antitannic Infuser.  It seems that you popped the bowl in the top of the teapot with the tea, poured in the water, let it brew, then took out the infuser and stored it on the saucer.  For some reason we suspect that these are rare - and always were!
Yet another member produced this large sign for Sankey's tea and coffee vending machines.  The fact that it is in French reminds us that Bilston companies once had a large international trade. large sign for Sankey's tea and coffee vending machines.
