December already, and the end of another year. What better way to finish off than with a Christmas party. This year we held the event in the ballroom of the town hall, its good to put this public building to good use, and what better place is there to hold a party. Lots to eat, lots to drink and entertainment all make for a great afternoon. Eileen Ward Birch helped to entertain us with her smashing picture quiz on the big screen. Well done to Olivia Shaw for getting the most correct answers. The star entertainer was Mathew Richards, once again he provided us with more than an hour of his livley music and humour. Thank you Eileen and Mathew for keeping us entertained during the afternoon.

Designed by Bidlake and Lovatt the town hall opened in 1872 and ten years later the building was extended . By 1906 the building was considered to be unsafe due to old mine workings underneath, but work was carried out to shore up the building and it remained in used for many years untill Wolverhampton Council allowed it to fall into disrepair and the building closed in 1997. Due to the efforts of many people the town hall was finally resored to its former glory and was brought back into use in 2008.
It looks nice but its
a pity we have a very large fish tank stuck on the side of the building...
