Sandra Aston's remarkable display of wedding photos, This is Sandra Aston's remarkable display of wedding photos, from Bilston and elsewhere, and from man different times. (I think that's Sandra in the middle of the shot. But she was so busy I didn't get a better photo of our main contributor!). Sandra also provided this lovely display of wedding souvenirs Sandra also provided this lovely display of wedding souvenirs and bouquets, some of which were in brass vases and bowls made locally by Beldray.
Several people, including Tom Larkin, Alma Darby, Reg and Sandra Aston, had brought along their own wedding albums.  The most unusual album must have been the one recording a triple wedding of the three Smith sisters at St. Leonard's.  Judith Russell brought the album along and here she is standing by it. Judith Russell This is one of the photos from the album.  The wedding took place on the 6th September 1969 and, if I have got it right: Judith Smith married Glyn Russell; her twin sister Janet Smith married Frank Owen; and the third sister, Margaret, married John Pugh.  It is also interesting that the sisters father and mother, and their grandparents, had also been married in St.Leonards. one of the photos from the album
Amongst the visitors enjoying the displays and reminiscing about old times were local residents Mrs. Banks, Mrs. Dunn and Mrs.Beck. Mrs. Banks, Mrs. Dunn and Mrs.Beck.
