Since the preceding pages were written - which was mostly in mid-2002 - collecting examples has continued, mainly by Ang Johnson running round charity shops and junk shops. But we have also had other people, contacted through the Internet, providing us with examples. So here are more examples from Phoenix's range. |

mugs with yellow rose spray in black plastic holders (the holders presumably not made by Phoenix but bought in, with "Made for Phoenix in the USA" stamped on them. We can only speculate on the significance of this. We have never heard of an American branch. Was demand so great that the UK factories could not meet it? Who in the USA would have made it? Surely not Pyrex? And what glass were they using - Phoenix's patent or something else? |
