| Here two visitors examine the enamels. All of those on display had been handpainted by local men who were on a re-training course at Bilston Enterprise; and they were all mounted in frames made by other workers in the same company. |

... and more visitors look at the boards containing the stories about local health which we had been able to collect from people who had kindly responded to the features which Jim Speakman had got in the local press. Their stories will soon appear on our web site too. |

Jenny Peckthorpe, and her husband, had travelled all the way from Whitby - thereby beating John Elwell's record from Ripon for the longest distance travelled for one of our meetings. Reg was able to show her Leicester Street, where her ancestors had lived. |
| The special contribution of the day came from Roy Stallard, a retired nurse and historian of local hospitals. |

His interesting display of memorabilia included these items. In the centre is the medallion presented to people who had donated £5 or more to the Wolverhampton Royal Hospital. It is now a rare object. |

A highlight of the day was the showing of the video made by our Henry Metzger from material supplied by Roy and with an excellent commentary by Roy. The whole thing was both interesting and impressive. |
