A brief report on our recent event
For various reasons our originally booked speaker wasn't able to give his promised talk, We were able to obtain a late substitute however, in the form of our Vice Chair Mr Alan Bickley who disguised himself (Loosely) as John Wilkinson as can be seen in the photo above. Our event was fairly well attended, although a few of our regulars were noticed by their absence! a number of artefacts and maps were on display, as witnessed by the photographs below. A Blue Plaque was also on display which is to be mounted at Wilkinson School later this year, we hope to bring you a report and pictures of the unveiling in due course.
